Chardae and Terrance
I shot this on the campus of the University of Mississippi. I had the absolute most fun shooting this wedding! I was sooo happy with how these photos turned out! I was a little nervous at first because we had a rain scare but it came and went and we enjoyed the rest of the day!

Moton Wedding
I had the amazing pleasure of shooting Stephanye's wedding. She was such a beautiful bride. The wedding was in Memphis, TN. This was the biggest church I've ever shot in and I was more than ecstatic. Her,her family, and the wedding party was such a pleasure to work with. This wedding was so much fun! I'm really happy with how everything turned out.

The Barber
Had the amazing opportunity to shoot my friend, Olivia's, barber. This started out as a "I only need a few shots" event. Of course it spawned into a full scale photo shoot in the middle of a Memphis barber shop that ended with me laying on the dirty floor lol. But all in all I'm more than happy with the results! I even delivered them to her late last night when I should have been sleeping. But the joy on her face when she saw the pictures was more than worth it. The initial response, that sheer joy from a job well done, is the reason I do my job!
Spring Pics
Spring pictures I did! I was a little under the weather before this shoot but didnt let that stop the show! I was really happy with the pictures! I also loved the yellow that everyone wore! I love my career!
Graduates
Its graduation season and I had the opportunity to shoot some great shots of my sorors and my buddy Mejia for graduation. I was really excited and glad I was able to help make their graduation more memorable. I shot the AKA pics on Delta State University's campus the day before graduation. It was incredibly windy but thankfully the sun decided to hide so it was much cooler than a few hours earlier. Mejia and I shot her pics Thursday afternoon on the University of Memphis' campus. We were a little upset that the frigging fountain on campus decided to stay off permanently. I just wanted to make sure I got a few shots of everyone before graduation. Guess its great having a friend that's a photographer!
Alycia
Hi everyone! Things are really starting to get crazy. Its that time of year again! My schedule is quickly filling up with everyone wanting to take advantage of the great weather and take pictures. I'm loving it. With that being said the other day I had the pleasure of shooting Alycia. One of my beautiful sorors, Tara, recommended me to her. She needed a pretty quick turnaround and I'm glad that my schedule is flexible enough to be able to help her out. She was an amazing subject to shoot. I really had a blast getting to know her while we were out shooting. Also she has a website, All Day Natural (www.alldaynatural.com), in which she discusses healthy living, including nutrition, natural beauty, and wholistic health.
Team Mejia
So I met Kristen on Twitter. I'm working (slowly) on learning Spanish and her sister recommended her to me. Turns out we ended up being great friends! Mejia as I like to call her (that's her cool last name) is graduating and we decided to take some pics. I was ecstatic and it was an absolute blast! I've recently decided to do personal projects every once in a while to satisfy creative needs so she was my first victim lol. We were frolicking on Main Street in Memphis and she didn't even mind lying on the ground in her dress lol! Mejia is awesome. I decided to grab a map for a prop because she LOVES traveling and I like the shot of the date on her back because its the date her grandfather passed and he won't get to see her graduate. I'm so happy I had the opportunity to make her graduation that much more special. CONGRATS MEJIA!!!
The Fraziers
I just love shooting winter weddings! Mainly because I'd choose anything over the raging summer heat that usually comes along with summer weddings in the south. It can be a little difficult sometimes when you're lugging around camera equipment and running around from place to place. And as always I'm always nervous before a shoot. I can't explain why and I honestly hope I never outgrow it. It keeps me grounded. This was my first wedding I shot where I didn't know the bride or groom prior to shooting their wedding. So far my friends from college have basically been helping me put food on the the table lol. It's great to know that my range is extending and God willing will continue to grow. But I definitely see potential for growth. I'm passionate about what I do and I absolutely LOVE my job. I can't begin to thank my best friend, Angela, for giving me the push I needed in college to chase this seemingly crazy dream I have.
Clarksdale High Senior
I've been waiting a long time for my little cousin to finally become a senior. Since I've been working more professionally as a photographer I've been itching at a chance to shoot some senior portraits. These are just the first session we did and I learned very quickly how goofy seniors are lol. Man I miss those times--life was so much carefree back then. No bills or work to worry about at all. My biggest concern was where I'd sit at the lunch table or whether or not I could get away with not having my shirt tucked in for the day (yeah our high school was pretty strict with the dress code). Even then I was the geeky kid walking around with a camera all the time. I should have known then that this is what I'm supposed to be doing instead of wasting a year and a half majoring in biology in college. Fortunately I was able to find my way back to art.
Absolut Music
Here's a photo shoot I did for my friend Rickey. He's an aspiring songwriter/singer/producer. He pretty much does it all as far as music is concerned. He even helped me out a little bit with piano (I'm still working on finding more time to practice). This was the first shoot I did where it was terribly freezing outside and to top it all of I FORGOT my gloves! I was still happy none the less. The people passing by in the street cars were pointing and waving. I never get used to feeling like a professional nowadays. I can really start to see growth with my work compared to when I was in college. Those days seem so long ago.
Here's a little more about him that I grabbed from his bio section from his blog. He was born Rickey Darnell Thomas Jr in West Helena, AR. He is currently making a name for himself in the MS delta as a potent songwriter with a refreshing distinct style. He blends pop, hip hop, soul, and alternative music to create his sound. Hopefully with a steady grind and a truck load of potential some major labels with take notice.

Hamilton Wedding
This was my first big wedding that I shot back in December 2008. I was so nervous and excited at the same time! My absolute favorite picture was the picture of her and her dancing. I was laughing so hard I almost missed the shot lol. I went to college with the bride and she's actually the person who got me started with weddings. I started with this one wedding and it just snowballed out of control lol! You never know where you will end up sometimes.
Jones' Wedding
This was my last wedding from this past summer. It's always nerve racking when you know the couple personally when shooting a wedding. I was so nervous. I wanted to do a great job and not let anyone down. Not to mention the groom was my frat brother and I had one frat tell me I "better not mess up," --talk about pressure. None the less, I think I did a pretty good job. And to the bride and groom--I wish you all the best in your marriage and your future together and thanks for giving me the opportunity to shoot your wedding day.
I've very pleased I had the honor of being able to lend my talent to help my fellow soror, Tara Dunn, on her efforts to become Homecoming Queen for Delta State University. Congratulations Tara I am so proud of you!

Fallin'...
"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."--Albert Camus
Anyone that knows me remotely well can tell you that my absolute favorite time of the year is the fall! As a artist and all-around creative person, why wouldn't I love the fall. It is my favorite time of the year mainly because it's so full of rich color! That's enough for any artist to really appreciate it. The vibrant reds, illustrious oranges, and rich browns and greens keep me on a natural high for the duration for the season.
Recently I've gotten into running. I've been mostly running on the treadmill at the gym but since fall has hit I've extended my runs outside. Seeing the wonderful colors is enough to make me continue running regularly without paying attention to the grueling torture that I put my body thru three times a week for the sake of being fit. Why does working out have to be so hard! But as my boss would say: "If it were easy, everyone would do it."

Who can not appreciate the fall when you have FOOTBALL! America's favorite sport. I wish I knew more about the league to provide and accurate account of it but my hectic schedule doesn't really allow me to catch even have of the games to know what's going on this season. With football, also comes the onset of college football and homecomings. Unfortunately I will not be able to make mine this year and I've gotten badgered so much from my sorority and fraternity family. I shall not miss another one if I can at all help it lol.
